I just can't believe that this time last year I was clutching my hospital bed railing, trying NOT to push, and feeling her wanting to arrive. I was terrified of how our lives would change and how I would know what to do. Wondering if she'd like me, wondering if she'd sleep, wondering how breastfeeding would go. Hoping that I'd survive. One year later I can't imagine life without her. Not only did we survive, but this past year has been the best of my life, thanks to little Madison. All day today I'll be thinking about how much I love her and everything that she brings to my life. Thank you Maddy. Happy Birthday. I love you more than you'll ever know.

Just Playing Around

Maddy, Charlie and Josie

We had a fun day yesterday. 7 friends and their little ones came over for a pool playdate at around 3:30. The pool was heated to 85 degrees, the sun was out, it was such a beautiful day. Sarah, Charlie and Josie came up for the playdate, a little dinner and a bath and I enjoyed all of it so much. We took some videos of the girls in the bath - it was pure chaos. Much different than our usualy bathtime of just my Maddy and me, passing toys back and forth with the occasional splashing fit.



After the bath, the girls played a bit more, and Maddy walked for the first time with Johnny only holding one hand, and then Sarah had Maddy walking to Johnny! Amazing the things you learn from a pro.

Fresh as a Flower

Maddy and I have been having the best time in this weather and I've been having the best time dressing her in her cute summer clothes. Finally! We can put her in some of these cute outfits before she grows out of them! She looked particularly adorable...and soft...and sweet yesterday, so I had to take some pics and a video.
