More of Maddy's mobility

While life is a bit more difficult now that Maddy doesn't stay where ever she is placed, I have to say I love it! She just wants to check everything out. It is so stinkin' cute to watch her chase the dogs or tear after a toy across the room. Always with her mouth open. I think that since our house is dog-proofed, it's pretty close to baby proofed in that there is nothing dangerous or even slightly appetizing near the floor. She has her one drawer full of bibs and toys that she loves, until she pinched her little fingers when the drawer closed. We do need cabinet locks, but until then I just follow her around and we've got rubber bands around the cleaning supply cabinet. We'll do the works this weekend.

Maddy is moving!

Yaaaay! and Yiiiiiiikes! Our Maddy is finally mobile. Kara and Mom came over on Wednesday and Maddy had just started really getting around. One foot and one knee. She is now moving much more rapidly and her target is almost always a pooch.

I'm also posting pics of our visit from the Swingler ladies. They had In & Out, played with the kitty, and we learned that Maddy has a sharing problem.

St. Patty's Day Party

We had a crazy day today! It was really gloomy today and wemwere in need of some brightening so I put Maddy in her tutu and we all had some fun with her. I got Johnny on camera chasing Kona with Maddy, having too much fun. Then this afternoon Maddy and I walked to a friend's house for a St. Patty's Day party. There were tons of babies and Maddy and I had a blast, until Maddy started pulling on a little girl's face and then another baby fell on her - that was the beginning of the end. AND I'm adding a pic of Johnny and Maddy in the jacuzzi from Saturday.

Maddy goes to a party!

Maddy went to her first birthday party a few weeks ago. It was her friend Gracie's first birthday and they really put on a production. Pink everywhere, toys everywhere, chocolate and pizza everywhere. Maddy woke up from her nap and then we left for the party immediately, so when we first got there she just needed her lunch. Fast. She had some pizza and a cookie with very pink frosting, some fruit and a little pasta salad. The she was ready to roll. They had a little baby height table covered in sweet puffs for the babies to enjoy - this was pretty much Maddy's favorite spot (along with all the other babies). We all had a really great time and can't wait until Maddy's first birthday party.

I'm also uploading some pics from one of Maddy's first playgroups. We went to a neighbor's house to hang out for a bit. She kind of had fun - she loves playing with toys by herself but get her with other kids and she just wants to play with her mama. We're going to more and more play groups to get her more into the group thing. We've got a St. Patty's day party next Wednesday afternoon with 26 other babies. Should be interesting!

I'm also also uploading pics of my messy little eater. She is so sleepy by dinnertime (6:00) that she ends up rubbing whatever she's eating into her eyes. I try to get her to take a short nap before dinner and we can't eat any earlier than 6:00 without wanting 2nd dinner before bed! This girl loves italian food - pizza, lasagna, spaghetti, meatball subs...

Miscellanaous Maddy Stuff

I've taken a bunch of random pics and videos over the past few weeks. Lots of her eating...I just love watching her dive into mashed potatoes and meat loaf or lasagna.

Here is a video of her playing
