Maddy adores her big playground in the backyard. She eats up there, plays with her dolls up there. And just looks so darn cute in there.

We've just been having so much fun together. I've always loved being around my Maddy, but since I've been working so much I just can't spend enough time with her and LOVE every minute. She makes my heart smile.

More of Maddy's special day. We blew bubbles for a while, then Linda brought over the most amazing filet's and sides. Right before we ate Kristi and Gary brought over the most perfect gift - princess attire!

Maddy's 2nd Birthday

Maddy has had an awesome birthday week. We took her to Disneyland for the first time on Wednesday (more details and videos to follow) and today we had some fun in the yard. Then the Gunthers came over for Maddy's birthday dinner and cupcakes.

Maddy's New Playground

Heaven!!! My mom hit the Ladera Ranch Community Garage Sale yesterday and found the most amazing deal. This huge plaything was originally over $600 and she got it for $50! Maddy and her little buddies love it to pieces.

Maddy and Quinnie at the zoo

Johnny and Maddy and I went to the San Diego zoo with Julia and Quinnie last week. We had so much fun! Quinnie has a very mellow vibe that seems to restrict Maddy's bully instincts so they "play" extremely well together.

Maddy's New Table

Long story behind this table. A good friend of mine lent me hers for a huge St. Patty's Day toddler party and it was a huge hit. There were probably 10 2 year olds shoulder to shoulder eating cupcakes. It moved with us to the new house and spent a week or so in the yard and Maddy spent every evening out there, playing with barbies, coloring, eating. Then we had to give it back and Maddy's grammie bought her one. It was slightly cracked when it arrived and we had to reluctantly send it back. Shockingly, within 5 days of registering the return, a new one arrived and it was like Maddy's first time seeing it!

Earlier today I was thinking it would be so great to have it for the neighborhood toddlers this evening, and BAM! It was here when we got home.

Easter Eggstravaganza

Maddy had a blast today at the Ladera Ranch Easter celebration. She grabbed eggs, had a hot dog in the buff, and kind of jumped in a bounce house.

Maddy's New Car

Maddy's Great Aunt Kathy sent her an early birthday present and she LOVES it! She spent all evening on the patio in her car...ate dinner in her car...brought her blankies in her car...

More of my little sickie

Her ear infection from a few weeks ago never cleared up, ao after a visit to urgent care and lots of tears we got her on a different antibiotic. She's not quite 100%, but finally got some color back in her face. Still enjoying Monsters Inc. after the 50th time though. :)

Maddy has a rotten cold - nasty cough, lots of snot, and an ear infection. I hate that she doesn't feel well but LOVE my little cuddle bug.

We got Maddy a potty to stick in the bathroom so she starts getting used to seeing a potty and sitting on it when we go. I had to bring it out when I first brought it home. We won't be using it for it's intended purpose for quite a while. :)

We had quite the day Saturday. Started with the aquarium. Then off to Maddy's friend Sharky's birthday party. They had a fire truck and a bouncehouse, and the rain didn't stop Maddy from enjoying any of it. Especially the cake.

RSM Lake

Maddy is definitely needing more crazy play time these days. My once docile little baby is now a wild and crazy toddler that needs to run around for at least an hour and a half a few times a day. We like to go to the Rancho Santa Margarita Lake where there are tons of ducks and dogs to chase.

Long Beach Aquarium

We were supposed to move the majority of our stuff to the new place on Saturday, but it rained, so we went to the aquarium instead. Maddy LOVED it! She ran from window to window, asking constantly for more.

Another bath video. Maddy loves her baths, most of the time. She's been doing what I call "the splits" in there and gets a big kick out of herself. I love this part of the day - we've survived the pre-dinner crazies and it's time to wind down. Some good one-on-one time with no interruptions. :)

Maddy at Gracie's Birthday Party

I can't believe all of Maddy's little friends are turning 2! Here we are at the first of many 2nd birthday partys this year. Her friend Gracie had an Elmo themed party to Maddy's delight with Elmo cupcakes and an Elmo bounce house. Maddy was in heaven. We couldn't get her out of the bounce house for anything but cupcakes.
